The Best Dry Shampoo I love With No Residue

Dry shampoo has become a beauty staple for me – and I think for most people out there! Dry shampoos allow us to touch up our ‘do post-workout, freshen things up a bit and extend our blowouts a little longer (not to mention allow us to sleep in a few more days each week!). Here I’ve shared my additional uses for dry shampoos and which ones I recommend for each. Plus, by brand, I’ve listed all my faves that are out there right now and just why I love them so much, because you will, too!

A dry shampoo is a must for busy women, it can be a beauty lifesaver. As a busy mom always on the go, I don't have the time to wash my hair daily. My hair is extremely long and it takes a very long time to style if I washed it daily. I have been obsessed with dry shampoos and trust me, I have tried so many and these are my ultimate favorites! Dry Shampoo is used to refresh hair, prolong a blowout, add extra volume or texture, salvage a bad hair day…a good dry shampoo is a beauty product to have in your life, trust me!

What I look for in a dry shampoo is mainly a product that refreshes hair without leaving a residue. I can't stand that baby powder, dandruff looking residue that most dry shampoos leave. We’ve all been there with the white residue that you can’t brush out of your hair. It’s also important to be safe for color-treated hair, and selfishly for me, I like it to smell good. I also like some of the color-specific dry shampoos, but “invisible” is my first choice.

No matter the dry shampoo you use, it’s important to shake well before using, spray evenly and direct at the roots of your hair. Most hairstylists agree that holding the can anywhere from 6-10 inches away is best. Leave product in hair for a couple of minutes, then massage in with your fingers or use a brush to distribute/remove excess. These are just general tips; make sure to carefully read the label of whatever dry shampoo you buy.
